Shawn M. Glover
ARTIST . EDUCATOR . DESIGNER
I have strong training and experience in fine art, arts education and graphic design. As I have progressed through a variety of creative careers, I continued to apply and build on what I’d learned and keep improving. I enjoy sharing my passion and skills with the next generation.
My personal work draws from the world around us and provides space for deeper conversations and reflection. I aim to start conversations and raise awareness around topics we often avoid.
As an educator, I see each student as unique and deserving of a full education. I teach the whole child, encouraging self-reflection and curious exploration. Students deserve a stimulating and safe classroom, where they can grow physically, mentally, and emotionally. Able to freely share ideas, take risks, and reach their potential.

Brand design is the strategic process of creating a distinctive visual identity—including logos, refined color palettes, typography choices, and curated imagery—that shapes how a business is perceived and remembered by its audience. It aligns visual elements with core values and messaging to build recognition, trust, and a cohesive brand experience across every touchpoint.
-
Product design is the comprehensive, end-to-end process of imagining, creating, and iterating products—both physical and digital—that effectively solve user problems, address real needs, and succeed in competitive markets. It encompasses research, strategy, prototyping, testing, and refinement to deliver useful, usable, and desirable solutions.
-
Layout design arranges text, images, and shapes to create a clear, engaging, and functional composition. It thoughtfully applies grids, alignment, proximity, and generous white space to guide the eye, establish visual hierarchy, and effectively convey a deliberate message.
-
Typography is the art and technique of arranging type to make written language legible, readable, and visually appealing, encompassing the careful selection of typefaces, point sizes, line lengths, and spacing. It plays a crucial role in graphic design by establishing tone, mood, brand personality, and visual hierarchy to guide reader attention and shape the way information is perceived.
-
Fine art is an art form created primarily for aesthetic, intellectual, or conceptual purposes rather than practical utility, emphasizing imaginative creative expression, thoughtful critical reflection, and rich sensory experience. It prioritizes originality, emotional resonance, and exploration of ideas, often challenging viewers and inviting deeper contemplation.
-
Print production is the comprehensive, multi-stage process of transforming digital designs into physical, tangible materials, encompassing everything from initial concept development and meticulous preflight checks to high-quality printing (offset or digital), precise binding, and refined finishing touches for a polished final product.
